1st readings

Reading the Vischer was a little tedious for me.  The Mundt was a better read, and it referenced Vischer, elaborating on his ideas (so the Vischer article made better sense) and tying his (Vischer's) theory back to Kant, which is interesting.  I never realized Kant was a backbone to German aesthetics until reading the Mundt article.  I had assumed most had turned onto Nietzsche's theories.

  1. I agree that the Mundt article facilitated in understanding the Vischer article. I liked that it discussed the other theories of form that opposed the two Vischers' theories so I could better understand the ideas on a more complex level.
I have read a lot of articles that refer to Kant and I feel like I need to get more in touch with his theories and connect the dots from the different authors that have written about him.
